- Tour Castro de Santa Trega – An ancient Celtic settlement with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape and the River Minho. It is an important archaeological site in Galicia declared as a National Historical and Artistic Monument in 1931.
- Walk Muiños do Picòn and Folòn Guided – A picturesque guided walk through the ancient water mills and cascading waterfalls in the picturesque natural landscape.
- Birdwatching – The Miño River estuary, a space shared by Galicia and Portugal, is a wetland with exceptional characteristics. On the Galician shore we find a multitude of different habitats that host a large population of birds, especially in migration and during the winter.
- Optional Horseback riding excursion – this excursion is optional and cost is not included in the cost of the retreat.
- Pozas de Loureza Guided Walk and Natural Pools – A guided walk to the beautiful natural pools of Pozas de Loureza, providing an opportunity for a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear waters.
- Total Solar Eclipse Excursion and Viewing – We’ll drive to the path of totality, a short trip from Shakti Rio and view a Sunset Total Solar Eclipse on Wednesday, August 12th.
- Cascata do Pincho – Portugal Waterfalls and Walk – Cascata do Pincho is a stunning waterfall located in the natural beauty of Portugal. It offers a serene and picturesque setting for visitors to enjoy the splendor of the cascading waters and surrounding greenery.
- Transportation for any of the off-site activities

ACCOMMODATION: A property with a rich history and enchanting ambiance. Originally an old ruin, it was lovingly restored and renovated in 1968 to its former glory and named Finca Rio Miño.
The now rustic Casitas, originally built in 1994, have since been providing guests with a comfortable and tranquil retreat to enjoy the beauty of the property and its breathtaking surroundings. As soon as you step foot on the Property, you will feel the magic of this special place.
In 2024 the property was renamed to Shakti Rio Miño meaning Divine feminine power by the river. Come and experience it for yourself and create memories that will last a will last a lifetime.

Retreat cancellation policy:
There is a lot of work that goes into planning your amazing yoga vacation. Please review the following policy if you need to cancel for any reason whatsoever.
Cancellation prior to February 1, 2026 – refund of retreat fees less non-refundable deposit ($500)
Cancellation prior to May 1, 2026 – refund of 50% of retreat fees less non-refundable deposit ($500)
Cancellation on or after May 2, 2026 there are no refunds available for any reason. You may transfer your reservation to a family or friend to join in your place with 30 days notice.
We highly recommend that you consider purchasing travel insurance. Travel insurance companies like travel guard and Trawick offer policies that insure your investment in case you need to cancel (including “cancel for any reason” coverages), coverages for expenses incurred due to weather & travel delays, personal property loss and emergency travel medical. Please review policies carefully to choose the coverage you need.
